Working with like minded partners is really important to us. 
Many of our recent projects have been working with partners who are trying to make a difference in the world, and we're proud to say that we have directly had an impact on either social, human, economic or environmental sustainability. 

In parallel to designing the electric outboard for Ecomar Propulsion, they asked us to design the throttle control box with a clear brief. 
It had to have the same level of detail taken whilst considering material choices as the outboard. 

User centred design was a key focus as the product is aimed at the commercial market where users could be at the helm for 8 hours a day. 
The unit had to be repairable, components replaceable and an IP67 rating with all CANbus controlled components and location light onboard.
 
In addition, the control box had to be designed following automotive standards in functional safety, something not usually seen in the marine sector.
